I want to salute Bill and the 2nd district for outstanding service to our country....the next 7 days are critical , as Vets for McCain chair and Sec of MI GOP...I am proud of our country, our state and our great party...
Your help to get the vote out will be critical, please help the Vets get to the polls on Tues as well as all of your friends and neighbors...........our country's future is at stake..
Remember , there are 849,000 Vets in Michigan, at present...less than 10 percent of country has ever been in the military, less than 10 percent have ever worn military boots, our brave troops need a man who knows what war is about.....John McCain will keep us safe, secure and he will do what's right for our country.........he is an honest man.
My sincere thanks for listening to my comments....
Your friend,
Hank Fuhs
Ch of Vets for McCain in Michigan

Subject: One Week until polls open!
Good Morning Everyone,
Hard to believe that we are one week away from the polls opening here in Michigan. Many reports indicate that higher numbers than usual have already voted via absentee ballot proving that your work needs to be done not just in the closing days but through-out the campaign.
Thanks to Kurt Van Koevering (2nd Dist Secretary and owner of the Zeeland Record/ZRNews Printing) we had a fresh shipment of 4x8 and 2x4 McCain Palin that got brought around the district yesterday by Jon De Witte and Congressman Hoekstra. What a sight seeing our Congressman in the "Big Hoek" delivery truck! Additionally, please let me know if any of you need more door hanging McCain/Palin lit. I have part of a box left that is begging to be hung on prospective voter's doors.
A quick up-date on the two hot races in the 2nd District. Holly Hughes continues to work hard and do all the things necessary to win this election. Radio and TV ads have been produced and are being aired as we speak which highlight Mary Valentine's true views on taxes and the economy.
Ray Franz is also working the 101st District very hard with radio, cable and good 'ol fashioned door knocking. The emerging battle-ground seems to be Mason County where Ray, Prosecutor Susan Sniegowski and Sheriff Laude Hartrum are all locked in tough races. The 2nd District has given money directly to the campaigns, as well as provided ground troops and support for all of these races, but the four of them still need your help. If you have any time (or money!) all of our candidates would love to hear from you in this last push towards the finish line. And as always, if any of you would like to discuss what is happening in the area or have any questions about what the 2nd District is doing in this election cycle, please call me on my cell phone at 616-405-9216.
I will see you on the trail and keep up the good work. Let's go get 'em!
Bill Huizenga
2nd District Chairman
